About 120 Engineering students of IIT Roorkee were on a plant visit in Rajasthan at the Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company in zinc-lead-silver business, recently.
It was amazing to see their sight for knowing the technology as much as the community service work Vedanta group is doing in the deep rural areas.
Once they heard about the "Khushi" project, they volunteered to become "Partners in Creating Happiness". Country does need to address problems like malnutrition, child labour, beggary and early marriage.
IIT Roorkee students have also been running sustainability projects in the villages located around the Roorkee. These students shared their initiatives and efforts in the field of Agriculture, Health, and Computer Education.
Their thought process and willingness to bring social changes in the country, immediately aligned them with the project “Khushi”.
We are proud to have IIT Roorkee students as "Parters in Creating Happiness".
